We are looking to add an experienced Medical Billing Associate (AR Specialist) to our team that will contribute to our mission along with embodying the same values as us. Requirements:

  • Fix the clearinghouse and insurance rejections
  • Do follow-ups on the claims/aging
  • Denial fixations while payment posting
  • Manual posting
  • Download EOBs and request EOBs on call
  • Removes the payment posting errors
  • Point out the ERA/EFT setup to make practice paperless
  • Make insurance portals to reduce the follow-up time
  • Analyze insurance trends and pass information to team lead
  • Optimization of practice to reduce denials
  • Working on Spravato services including charge creation, coding correction, follow up, denial fixation
  • Strong understanding of fee schedules, LCDs, Medicare/Medicaid, and secondary insurances.
  • Handling providers billing for inpatient/outpatient, TMS, and ADHD testing. Must have a good understanding of charge capture, patient demo entry, insurance verification, claim submission, payment posting, and denials.
  • Proficient with insurance verification (copays, deductibles, co-insurance, out of pocket, coordination of benefits, insurance pre-authorization)
  • Must have excellent phone etiquette and solve patient issues. Must be able to call insurance and patient for denials, coordination of benefits, and other related issues.
  • Strong understanding of reading and posting ERA/EOBs.
  • Capable of handling volume and working on rejections and denials on daily basis.
  • The person must be a multitasker and a good team player.
  • Able to meet monthly billing targets.
